The 2016 is here and let’s take a look to this winters most… wanted fashion trends.
1. Leather is back
Purses and shoes, leggings, skirts and jackets, leather is everywhere this winter. Louis Vuitton’s leather pants but also Alexander Wang, Ralph Lauren and Narciso Rodriguez are a few of the designers that… show their appreciation to leather.
2. This is a man’s world
Masculine oversized pieces, from sweaters to jackets, dresses and capes are one of the biggest trends right now. Giorgio Armani and Ralph Lauren, are only two of the designers that combine masculine and feminine textures together.
3. Let’s tweed
Tweed is one of the biggest trends on this season. It is a rough, woolen fabric, very warm and perfect for our winters. We saw it in Chanel’s fashion shows but also in many other brands like Simone Rocha, Sacai, Max Mara, Dior, Erdem, Prada, Caroline Herrera, Lanvin, Emanuel Ungaro, and Dolce & Gabbana, just to name a few.
4. In colors
I love colors not only for the summer but for the winter as well. Colors make us happy. DKNY, Diane von Furstenberg and Versace knows better.
5. There is a fur on my sleeve!
Fur sleeves are an extreme choice but very fashionable.
6. Come to the future
Innovative fabrics, textures and colors such as silver metallic, take us to the future and make us feel like sci-fi movie heroine, like the designs of Mary Katrantzou.
7. Take the high waist
One of my favorite trends for this winter is the skinny high waist pants, as they have been making their comeback all year now.
8. Saved by the belt
Oversized belts are worn on everything from jumpsuits to vests, dresses and coats. From Versace and Salvatore Ferragamo to Balmain and Roberto Cavalli belts are a style savers.
9. Reefer jackets
Based on the United States Navy fashions with the double breasted blue coat, the reefer jacket echoes the seafaring military trend quite nicely as it makes its way from New York runway shows up until Paris Fashion Week.
10. Go asymmetrical
Asymmetrical lines are here to show us that beauty is not always in perfect things.Victoria Beckham, Monique Lhuillier, and Marchesa are few of the designers that go asymmetrical this winter.
11/12. Turtlenecks vs Plugging Necklines
Turtlenecks are back and forget the plunging necklines. Warm and easy to wear this trend is the best choice for this winter. Or… wait a minute! Plunging necklines are back and forget the turtlenecks. This season prefer the plunging V-necks. They have appeared everywhere, from blouses to dresses, and sometimes even as simply blazers with nothing underneath. The choice is yours!
13. Midi me
It doesn’t matter if falling just above, or just below the knees, midi skirts and dresses it’s a huge trend. Follow it!
Capes and ponchos makes us more adventurous like the Chloe cape coats.
15. Crop tops
It was big trend for the summer and it is even biggest trend for this winter. But now it’s too cold and designers decided to layer the crop tops over shirts, tunics and dresses.
